In the evening of March 15th, a group of activists infiltrated the Courtyard Marriott hotel, where many of the American Legend Auction attendees were booked for stay.

Inside, they were able to listen in on furrier’s embarrassing and drunken conversations where they confirmed they were involved in the auction.

A protest erupted outside the hotel by another group of activists, and could be heard inside the lounge where activists and auction attendees were, and the response was noted. One particularly drunk auction attendee went out to confront the activists.

Meanwhile, activists inside listened in as calls to the front desk began pouring in. The hotel staff was assuring disturbed auction guests that the activists were protesting fur, that they were protesting all of the hotels in the area, and there was no way they could get inside. The staff was assuring the auction guests that people were safe.

After a confrontation with police outside, the protest concluded, and activists inside engaged in conversation with the drunken attendees. One of the drunken businessmen attempted to hit on a female activist and eventually cornered her, although she managed to escape. Most could barely stand up or walk in a straight line, enjoying the excesses that their abhorrent industry provides them.

Eventually, guests shuffled back to their rooms and went to sleep. Later that night, to remove the veil of comfort that the staff provided, activists proved their presence on the inside of the hotel and fliered every floor. The following morning, attendees woke to the discomforting fact that opposition was among them.
